Lyberaki Antigone

Antigone Lyberaki has studied economics in Greece and in the UK. She has taught at University of Crete, at the City University of New York and the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales in Paris. She is a member of the International Association for Feminist Economics (IAFFE) and board member of Actionaid NGO in Greece and in Kenya.

She studies the fields of small and medium enterprises and of flexible specialization since the late 80s. Since then she has broadened her research on the direction of Labor Economics, Immigration, Aging and Gender. Between 2000-2004 she participated in a Specialist Council for Ministry of Labor and she coordinated the execution of three national action plans for occupation.

She has written several books and articles in greek and foreign science magazines. Nowadays her research focuses on how Greek economic crisis affects the atypical mechanisms of family solidarity and participation of women in workforce.
